2020 SSSRC Improvement Fundraising Campaign!
Dear Stoneridge/Sedgefield Swim & Racquet Club Friends and Families,
What a fantastic summer at the pool! In spite of the havoc caused by the coronavirus, it was a delight to open the pool and maintain a bit of normalcy. Thanks to all for respecting the rules which allowed us to operate safely and preserve our sense of community.
Our neighborhood pool is 37 years old and over the summer we have received a number of great suggestions from members to improve the pool experience. We are launching a short, special fundraising campaign to enable us to make a few significant improvements, and based on input we target the following:
1. Build a shade structure on the east side of the pool deck
2. Install an outdoor shower on the pool deck
3. Rebuild the diving boards
4. Stretch goal: Upgrading bathrooms
Our SSSRC board members and a few committed community members have already contributed so that we are nearly a third of the way towards our goal of raising $30,000. We are now reaching out to you for a financial contribution to help us reach our goal! Your gift may be made by check or online (details below). We will recognize all donors with a plaque at the pool.
This fundraising campaign will be short and sweet, starting today and ending October 5, 2020. We will work on the funded projects in the off-season for members to enjoy next spring and summer!
Thank you in advance for your for your generosity in supporting your neighborhood pool!
